Surrendering to the soul

Reader

April has been a time of deep surrender for me. And I wonder if you've been feeling something similar.

My Spirit Team has been guiding me through the process of giving up the "controller", the problematic expression of the ego.

The holder of the me vs. other and the settling for what I don't really want is better than nothing mentality.

The more I release the controlling ego, the more my soul can fully express itself through me—through play, creativity, and exploration. It lives in the me and you and the I'm worthy of the Life I want orientation.

I'm walking through that next level of surrender now, and it's been tough. Yet freeing when I allow it to be.

Insights

As I continue in this inner work, I've learned that as we evolve on our spiritual journey, we must collaborate with our soul at each step to move forward in a Life that feels worth living.

Without that collaboration, each step gradually becomes harder, less fun, and less secure...because it is. We're attempting to live without the leverage of the soul's wisdom, love, joy, and power.

That version of life is the ego operating independently, outside of relationship with the soul. Yet often still wanting to benefit from the very relationship it's not fully participating in.

Life outside of relationship with our soul may feel doable, reasonable, or even normal. Until it doesn't. There comes a time when progress stalls and unhelpful patterns recycle themselves because something new is needed.

Surrendering to the soul is what's needed. To the flow that's already built in by Divine Design when the ego participates. This principle of surrender shows up across spiritual teachings—Abraham-Hicks, Bashar, Eckhart Tolle, and Kyle Cease are among those who also speak to this in their own ways.

Surrender can feel incredibly scary, and even "irresponsible" to our ego who is used to micromanaging Life. It's built is whole identity around being in control— the one to hold it all together, the one that works hard, the one to fix problems.

It's also the one keeping us busy, distracted, and exhausted. The controlling ego that points to everything and everyone else as the "problem" has been the culprit all along. Surprise, surprise!

And that is where we can find our freedom.

Through recognizing that we do not have to cater to or be moved by the ego's grip anymore. Instead, we can exhale and say "I don't have do this by myself anymore. I want help with this."

That's the opening. The posture of humility that allows something new to arrive. At first, what arrives will be the emotional relief. Then, we'll see evidence around us.

Imagine having the absolute best teammate who knows exactly what they're doing, what you're looking for, and how to bring it together in the most satisfying way. And you know they deliver above and beyond every time. That's their specialty. Imagine the ease that could wash over you when they say, "I got it."

That's what is on offer when we surrender to the brilliance of our soul.

Take what resonates. Leave the rest.

Closing Reflection

Many, if not all, spiritual sources are speaking to the strong sense of changing tides for humanity right now. Personally and collectively.

A time when we're being invited to step into relationship with our soul for meaningful lasting change. As the fight to stay the same grows less sustainable.

Consider asking yourself:

What's one area where your life has outgrown the ego's old way of controlling?

Feeling the call for a personalized soul reset

or ongoing structured support to move through this time?
