Ending the chain of pain

Reader

We’ve made it through the first month of 2026. For me, January felt like an in-between space after the deep clearing of 2025—individually and collectively.

I've been feeling that clearing continue. The old misaligned aspects still falling away as the new comes into form. And with that, there's heaviness in the world right now. I don't follow the news closely, but I hear highlights.

What I've been sitting with is this: How do we end the chain of pain in humanity?

I believe it is by bringing Love through our awareness and daily choices— in how we speak to ourselves, in how we interact to others, and in the moments where we're tempted to abandon our center to “keep the peace” or prove our worth.

Insight

I rewatched Black Panther (2018) the other night and saw it with new eyes. It reminded me of this theme that's been in my Conversations with Spirit lately.

Those who carry pain are often so convinced the answer is to strike back—to weaponize their voice or resources. It seems like the only way to protect themselves from being hurt again.

But this doesn't stop the cycle of pain. It continues it. Because nothing has changed at the level of consciousness.

Doing the inner work is how we travel the path of Love to heal our individual and collective pain.

This work develops our self-awareness, reconnecting us with the parts of our True Self we've lost touch with—beautiful parts covered up by pain or trauma attempting to run the show of our thoughts, words, and actions.

It's tender work. And I believe it's worth it.

Here's what I'm practicing:

  • Deeper daily presence in the current moment. Noticing when my mental chatter takes me into the past and future and returning focus to my activity, my breath, or noticing my surroundings.
  • In waves of uncomfortable emotions, I pause and speak aloud to myself. I describe what's happening in my body, ask my Spirit Team to guide me through, and notice troubling thoughts or urges to numb out without acting on them. When I feel relief, I ask: what would uplift me right now?

The intention is to interrupt the pattern of unconscious pain and distraction one choice at a time.

February Energy

As we move into February, I'm feeling a shift. There's a full moon (today), Imbolc—a holy day of returning light—and spiritual sources I trust are pointing to momentum building around the new moon on February 17th.

It feels like readiness to move forward. Like we're being invited to play again. Getting the opportunity to bring what we've been integrating in the quiet and carry it forward into connection with others. To practice holding our inner harmony while we engage with our world.

Closing Reflection

So I'm asking myself—and inviting you to consider:

What would it feel like to move through February from a place of loving Presence, rather than protection?

If you're feeling the call to deepen your inner work with personalized support, I'm here. Whether that's a single alignment session to get clear on what's asking for your attention, or ongoing partnership as you navigate this next chapter of your life.

You’re not expected to figure it all out on your own.

You just need to say yes to showing up for yourself and others in a new way.
